Today we went to Mungo National Park, part of the Willandra Lakes Heritage Area and traditional lands of Paakantyi, Mutthi Mutthi and Ngyiampaa people. A place with a rich, cultural history going back over 40,000 years ago. After being welcomed to country, we walked the Walls of China tour before driving the 70 km across the lake floor, saltbush, mallee country and dunes. A wonderful experience of a very special place.
These emus and galahs enjoyed the watering hole at Vigars Well.
Mobile dunes near watering hole.
